Huntingdon remembers Dr. James Glass

Retired Huntingdon College professor of music Dr. James Glass died Monday, January 27, in Montgomery. Dr. Glass came to Huntingdon as an associate professor of music in 1989 and retired in 2007, at which time he was honored as professor emeritus of music.

Men’s and women’s basketball game postponed

The men’s and women’s basketball games versus LaGrange College scheduled for Wednesday, January 29, at 7:30 and 5:30, respectively, have been postponed until Thursday, January 30.

Thursday classes, Concerto Night concert cancelled

Classes have been canceled for Thursday, January 30, because of continuing icy conditions on Montgomery roadways.

Winter Storm forces class cancellation

Huntingdon College classes have been canceled for Tuesday, January 28, because of an impending winter storm.

Yes! You Can Teach seminar returns for a second year

The Huntingdon College Teacher Education program will offer “Yes! You Can Teach!,” a seminar for high school students who are interested in entering the teaching field.

Faculty from the Department of Natural Sciences & Mathematics hosted the 4th annual Boot Camp on the Huntingdon campus for pre-medical, pre-dental, and pre-pharmacy students.

Sigma Tau Delta presents the annual Burns Supper

The English honorary, Sigma Tau Delta, will sponsor the 2014 Burns Supper Thursday, January 23, at 6:30 p.m. in Houghton Library Atrium.

Upchurch to speak for Huntingdon’s Martin Luther King Jr. Convocation

The annual Martin Luther King Jr. Convocation at Huntingdon College will feature a convocation address by College trustee W. Kendrick Upchurch III, Wednesday, January 22, at 7:00 p.m. in Ligon Chapel, Flowers Hall. The event will also include performances by the Huntingdon Men’s Gospel Trio.
