Huntingdon College Concert Choir performs during North Alabama spring tour

The Huntingdon College Concert Choir will perform at selected sites in North Alabama during a spring choir tour April 9–10, 2014. First tour includes a free public concert at Hartselle United Methodist Church, Wednesday, April 9, at 7:00 p.m.

Julia Shappert ’17 crowned Miss Huntingdon

A new Miss Huntingdon was crowned Saturday, March 15, at the conclusion of the annual scholarship pageant at Huntingdon College in Leo J. Drum Jr. Theater. Thirteen women competed for the title.

Woods Lisenby ’11 appointed chaplain

Huntingdon College President J. Cameron West announced today that Woods B. Lisenby, Huntingdon College Class of 2011, will be appointed Chaplain of the College effective June 1, 2014.

Huntingdon hosts Alabama Special Olympics basketball tournament

The Huntingdon College Department of Sport Science and Physical Education will host eight teams who are competing as part of the Alabama Special Olympics championship basketball tournament Friday, March 14. Games begin at 9:00 a.m. and continue until 2:00 p.m. in both Catherine Dixon Roland Arena, Roland Student Center, and James W. Wilson Jr. Gymnasium, Will and Kelly Wilson Community and Athletic Center. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.

Thirteen Huntingdon women compete for Miss Huntingdon title

The annual Huntingdon College Miss Huntingdon Scholarship Pageant will be held Saturday, March 15, 2014, at 7:00 p.m. in Leo J. Drum Jr. Theater inside the Cloverdale Administrative Building, Cloverdale Campus. Seating is first-come, first-served; admission is free.

Vann Vocal Institute brings international opera greats to Huntingdon

Internationally known opera stars who normally perform with such landmark operas as the Metropolitan in New York and the Lyric Opera of Chicago will perform for the Montgomery community at Huntingdon College in the Vann Vocal Institute Celebrity Recital, Thursday, March 13, at 7:30 p.m. in the College’s Ligon Chapel, Flowers Hall.  The concert is free and open to the public and features opera greats  David Cangelosi, Christopher Feigum, Marco Panuccio, Carter Scott, Patricia Risley, Bettie Buccheri, and Dale Williams.

Pianist Thomas Pandolfi performs for Huntingdon’s Cheek Concert Series

Acclaimed pianist Thomas Pandolfi will perform for the Huntingdon College Elizabeth Belcher Cheek Piano Concert Series, Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at 7:30 p.m. in Ligon Chapel, Flowers Hall. His concert, “Into the Night with Gershwin,” is free and open to the public.
