Admission offers Preview Day March 5

The Huntingdon College Office of Admission will offer a Huntingdon Preview Day, Saturday, March 5. Prospective students and families are invited to attend this free event.

Graham biographer speaks on “Billy Graham and American Politics”

Dr. Grant Wacker, Gilbert T. Rowe Professor Emeritus of Christian History at Duke University Divinity School, will speak on “Billy Graham and American Politics,” Monday, March 7, at 7:30 p.m. in the College’s Ligon Chapel, Flowers Hall.

Huntingdon offers a weekend of concert band music

Huntingdon’s Drum Theater will hum with the sound of concert band music in three separate events this weekend as the College hosts the AISBA Band Festival and AISBA Honor Band concerts and the Huntingdon Winds and Huntingdon Jazz perform their first concert of 2016.

Huntingdon celebrates Arbor Day with seedling giveaway and national contest-winning service project

Huntingdon College, national winner of the Arbor Day Foundation’s Tree Campus USA Service Learning Contest in November 2015, will recognize Arbor Day 2016 with two events: a tree dedication and seedling giveaway, Thursday, February 25, at 1:00 p.m. in front of Smith Music Building; and the service project that won national recognition and funding, tree planting near the Selma-to-Montgomery National Historic Trail, Friday, February 26, 9:00–11:30 a.m.

Kevin Manderville, a classical guitarist and adjunct instructor at Huntingdon College, will perform for the College’s Faculty Recital Series, Tuesday, February 23, at 7:00 p.m. in Smith Music Building’s Delchamps Recital Hall.

International opera greats perform at Huntingdon

Internationally known opera artists who normally perform with such landmark operas as the Metropolitan in New York and the Lyric Opera of Chicago will perform for the Montgomery community at Huntingdon College in the Vann Vocal Institute Celebrity Recital, Thursday, February 11, at 7:00 p.m. in the College’s Ligon Chapel, Flowers Hall.

Fall 2015 traditional day Dean’s List honorees announced

The Huntingdon College Office of the Registrar has issued the lists of full-time day students whose academic performance during the fall semester 2015 qualified for recognition on the College’s Dean’s List of Honors or Dean’s List of High Honors.
