Academic year opens with Presidential Convocation

Huntingdon College will celebrate the opening of the 2016–2017 academic year, as well as the beginning of freshman students’ college years, during the traditional Presidential Convocation, Wednesday, August 31, at 11:45 a.m. in Ligon Chapel, Flowers Hall.

Huntingdon College president J. Cameron West and provost Chad Eggleston announced today the appointment of Dr. Renee D. Culverhouse as dean of the College’s W. James Samford Jr. School of Business and Professional Studies and professor of management and criminal justice.

The Huntingdon College Office of College and Alumni Relations has announced the 2016 Homecoming schedule, October 7–8, 2016.

Buckner recognized for service to the United Methodist Church

Huntingdon College professor of religion and associate provost Dr. Frank Buckner has been awarded the Francis Asbury Award by the Division of Higher Education at the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry of the United Methodist Church.

Asbury provides scholarship for Huntingdon students

Huntingdon College seniors who are seeking admission to seminary have one more avenue for seminary completion, thanks to a new Scholarship of Distinction from Asbury Theological Seminary.
