Bowman Ecological Study Center
Bowman Ecological Study Center (1981) is a protected area in Prattville, Alabama, that provides space for students to collect and to study samples of plants, trees, and aquatic life. The Center includes a cabin, pond, and grassy areas. The Center and an endowment for the continued maintenance of the facility were a gift from Dorothy Bowman of Prattville.
Directions to the Bowman Ecological Center
- Take I-85 South to I-65
- Go north on I-65 to exit 183 (2nd Prattville exit)
- Go left (west) about one-half mile to the first paved road on the right (Old Ridge Road)
- Stay on this road, passing the water tower
- Enter the gate on the left, directly across from the 1st paved road on the right
