Biography:

As a child growing up in Montgomery, Jared Rehm engaged in competitive team sports with Huntingdon’s community youth wheelchair basketball team, The Wheelin’ Hawks. In the fall of 2015, after completing his Ph.D. at Auburn University, Dr. Rehm returned to Huntingdon to serve on the faculty in the Department of Sport Science and Physical Education and as assistant director for Huntingdon’s newest community sport program for youth: The Huntingdon Ability Sport Network.

While at Auburn University, Dr. Rehm worked as an adapted sport specialist for the AU Office of Accessibility and served as head coach of the university’s wheelchair basketball team. He also served as a graduate researcher for the Sports Biomechanics Laboratory and as a graduate assistant with the Office of Accessibility. He mentored student-athletes through AU Student Athlete Support Services. For four summers, he taught wheelchair basketball skills and strategy and mentored team members at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Wheelchair Basketball Summer Camp.
