Amanda joined the Huntingdon admission team after completing her degree in the HC Class of 2012. She works with prospective students and families who are from the Alabama counties Bibb, Blount, Calhoun, Cherokee, Clay, Cleburne, Colbert, Cullman, Dekalb, Etowah, Fayette, Franklin, Jackson, Lamar, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Marion, Marshall, Morgan, Pickens, Randolph, St. Clair, Talladega, Tuscaloosa, Walker, and Winston.
While she was a Huntingdon student, Amanda interned with the American Cancer Society, working with the Society’s annual fundraising event, A Vintage Affair. She also served as a recruiter for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer annual walk. At Huntingdon she was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi women’s fraternity and served as a Huntingdon College Ambassador, a member of the Campus Activities Board and the Business Club, and a Huntingdon Host.
In 2013 she married Ben Cecil ’10.
