Many of our current students and alumni came to Huntingdon because of the encouragement of a member of our alumni family. South End Zone, W. James Samford Jr. Stadium —Tailgating is one of the great new traditions at Huntingdon! Last year we welcomed 1,000 returning Hawks and we’re planning for even more this year. Come enjoy food and friendship in the big tent on the visitors’ side of the football field—we’ll provide plenty of tables and chairs, as well as inflatables to keep the little Hawks entertained. We’re serving BBQ pork and chicken, baked beans, slaw, banana pudding, tea, and lemonade. Pick up your football tickets and nametags here. Entry into the tailgating area is free; lunch plates are $12.00 and must be purchased in advance using the Homecoming Reservation Form.
12:30 p.m.The Hawk Walk
The alumni tailgating area will be a great spot to watch the Hawk Walk as the Huntingdon cheerleaders and the Huntingdon Marching Scarlet and Grey parade down Fairview Avenue to the stadium. You’ll get to see them up close as they stop beside the alumni tent to serenade you with the Huntingdon Fight Song.
1:00 p.m.Hawks Football vs. Greensboro College
W. James Samford Jr. Stadium—Cheer the Hawks on to victory and enjoy the halftime crowning of the 2014 Homecoming Queen. Former Homecoming Queens are invited to participate in the halftime ceremony. Tickets are $10 for an individual or $20 for a family; available at the gate or in advance using the Homecoming Reservation Form. Returning Queens, please contact the Alumni Office at (334) 833-4528 or email@example.com for halftime instructions.

Encourage your group of friends to meet for dinner at one of downtown’s trendy spots: Saza’s Serious Italian, Wyntzell’s Oyster House, Railyard Brewing Company, Irish Bred Pub, Central, Dreamland BBQ, Lek’s Railroad Thai, or Jalapeno’s in the Alley. The AlleyBar /The AviatorBar will be the designated spot for Huntingdon alumni to gather later in the evening for music and watching primetime college football games. There will be no cover charge for alumni who present their Alumni Ribbon or their ticket stub from the Huntingdon football game.

Ligon Chapel, Flowers Hall —The Huntingdon College Concert Choir and vocal ensembles will perform a special concert for alumni, parents, and the Montgomery community. This concert is dedicated in memory of professor of music emeritus Dr. James Glass, who passed away earlier this year; free and open to the public.
