Huntingdon joins in hurricane relief effortsIndividuals and organizations at Huntingdon College will join together Thursday, November 8, to provide relief kits—the Cleaning Bucket and the School Kit—through the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) to be donated to those in the Northeastern United States who have been affected by Hurricane Sandy. Instructions for kit contents and assembly may be found at the links above or on the UMCOR Web site: http://www.umcor.org/UMCOR/Relief-Supplies. Huntingdon individuals, teams, sororities, fraternities, organizations, clubs, residence halls or floors, offices, committees and other groups are challenged to purchase and assemble these kits. Each assembled kit/bucket is worth one community service hour for the organization. Assembled kits will be dropped off at The HutThursday evening, November 8, 7:30–8:15 p.m.
Alumni, neighbors, and friends of the college are welcome to join in these relief efforts.
