Public invited to Huntingdon Christmas CelebrationMontgomery, Ala.—Huntingdon
College invites the public to share in the joy of Christmas at the
annual Community Christmas Celebration, Thursday, November 29, on the Huntingdon campus. The evening begins
with festivities outside Flowers Hall, with hot chocolate and
cookies provided. Following the lighting of the trees, the crowd
moves inside Ligon Chapel for the beautiful and moving tradition,
A Service of Lessons and Carols. Planned events are as
follows:
- 6:30 p.m., the Mini-Parade and Arrival
of Saint Nicholas, in front of Flowers Hall; children
may visit with St. Nick in the Library Atrium after his
arrival.
- 6:45 p.m., Tree-Lighting
Ceremony and caroling, in front of Flowers Hall
- 7:00 p.m., A Service of Lessons and
Carols, combining Biblical readings by members of the
Huntingdon community interspersed with music from the
College's Concert Choir; Ligon Chapel, Flowers Hall
The events are
