Panhellenic recruitment heads to Bid Day

Michaela White and Spencer BrownPanhellenic women's fraternities, which include Alpha Omicron Pi, Chi Omega, and Phi Mu, will wrap up recruitment week with Preference Night tonight, Friday, September 6, beginning at 6:30 p.m., and Bid Day tomorrow, Saturday, September 7, at 3:00 p.m.

Associate dean and director of Greek Life Lauren Hobbs says that 84 women registered to participate and 79 came to activities on the first night of recruitment. The campus community is invited to share in Bid Day, which begins on the front steps of Pratt Hall. During Bid Day the women candidates are given letters telling them which women's fraternity matched the preferences they indicated at the close of Pref Night. They then participate in Bid Day parties with their new sisters.

Men's recruitment will be held next week. About 27 percent of Huntingdon students participate in Greek Life.
