Huntingdon student government leaders elected
Montgomery, Ala.—
A record 45% of Huntingdon College full-time day students let their voices be heard in the election of the student-leaders who will carry their respective classes and the Student Government Association (SGA) forward into the 2012–13 academic year. The winners take office during a special ceremony to be held later this spring. This year's winners are:
SGA President: Jake Bechert '13 (Accounting/Business Admin.; Union Grove, Ala.)
SGA Vice President: Bailey Scott '14 (Biology; Newnan, Ga.)
SGA Secretary: Shirin Torabinejad '15 (Undeclared; Huntsville, Ala.)
SGA Treasurer: Jagger Eastman '15 (Youth Ministry/History; Sulligent, Ala.)
SGA Senator for Business: Ryne Taylor '14 (Mathematics; Andalusia, Ala.)
SGA Senators for the Sciences: Will Davis '14 (Biochemistry; Niceville, Fla.) and Tyler Olsen '14 (Biochemistry; Montgomery)
SGA Senator for the Humanities: Hunter Pattison '15 (Political Science; Shalimar, Fla.)
Senior Class (Class of 2013) President: Russ Barnwell '13 (Political Science/English; Jacksonville, Ala.)
Senior Class Vice President: Lauren Miller '13 (Accounting; Cheyenne, Wyoming)
Junior Class (Class of 2014) President: Zach Turner '14 (Political Science; Citronelle, Ala.)
