Center for Writing and Critical Thinking

As part of the Staton Center for Learning Enrichment, the Center for Writing and Critical Thinking provides support for students' writing-intensive course work, especially in the first year, through free one-on-one tutoring, either by appointment or on a walk-in basis.  Stop in for help with:

• Developing concepts for papers
• Developing and organizing essays and papers
• Learning and reviewing pre-writing methods and skills including brainstorming, thesis development, focus, and research methods
• Grammar and sentence structure
• Learning and practicing revision methods
• Research documentation methods (writing a bibliography) according to an instructor's required format (MLA, APA, etc.)

Hours

 Mondays through Thursdays, 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.
