If you are interested in preparing for admission to graduate or doctoral studies or for professional programs in dentistry, law, medicine, ministry, optometry, pharmacy, physical therapy, teacher education, theology, or veterinary medicine, you may meet with a pre-professional adviser in addition to the adviser for your academic major. Through this targeted advising, you may tailor your course work to meet entrance requirements to a specific graduate or professional program.
Students who are preparing for health-related careers should seek the advice of the Pre-Health Professions Committee. The committee advises, tutors, administers practice exams, and writes letters of recommendation for students seeking careers in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, occupational therapy, physical therapy and other health-related careers.
Huntingdon’s Chemistry program offers two week-long Chemistry Boot Camps each year for students who are preparing to take the MCAT, DAT, GRE, and other graduate entrance exams. The Pre-Health Club and Future Physicians Club are other venues for connecting students who share professional interests and for providing guidance toward realizing their professional goals.
