Friday, September 27

12:00–1:15 p.m.—50th Class Reunion, Class of 1963, Luncheon 

Houghton Memorial Library Atrium—free for members of the Class of 1963 and their spouses.  Registration materials mailed under separate cover.   

1:15–2:00 p.m.—Campus Tours

2:00–3:00 p.m.—Reception for the Class of 1963

3:00–5:00 p.m.—Afternoon Social for members of the Classes of the 1940s and 1950s 

Houghton Memorial Library Atrium—a relaxing spot for members of the classes of the 1940s and 1950s to gather and visit with one another. Please RSVP so that we'll be able to quench your thirst and provide a few treats.

9:00 p.m.–until—Hawks Unwind at 1048 

1048 Jazz and Blues Club, 1104 East Fairview Avenue—late-night gathering spot for young alumni and for those who are young at heart!   1048 is subject to a cover charge at the door 

Saturday, September 28

8:00 a.m. to Noon—Huntingdon Prospective Student Host Day 
Is there a high school student in your circle of influence who would be a good fit for the College?  Many of our current students and alumni came to Huntingdon because of the encouragement of a member of our alumni community.  Continue the legacy by bringing a high school student to see our beautiful campus during a campus tour and visit with faculty and students. Contact the Huntingdon College Office of Admission at 334-833-4497 to register a high school student to participate in Host Day.     

8:00 a.m. to 9:30—Breakfast and Meeting of the Board of Directors of the National Alumni Association

9:30 a.m.—Huntingdon College Athletic Hall of Fame Reception 

Lobby of Leo J. Drum Jr. Theater, Cloverdale Campus—honoring former and new inductees into the Huntingdon College Athletic Hall of Fame. Free and open to the public   

10:00 a.m.—Huntingdon College Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.—Scarlet and Grey Alumni Tailgate catered by Dreamland BBQ 

 Nathan and Ginny Sumner and their future HawksVisitors' side of W. James Samford Jr. StadiumCome participate in one of the great new traditions at Huntingdon—pregame tailgating.  Last year we welcomed 600 returning Hawks and we're planning for even more this year.  We'll be set up on the visitors' side of the football field in a large tent with plenty of tables and chairs; inflatables to help keep the little Hawks entertained; and Dreamland BBQ pork and chicken, baked beans, slaw, world-famous banana pudding, tea and lemonade.  Entry into the tailgating area is free; lunch plates are $12.00 and must be purchased in advance using the Homecoming reservation form.   

12:00 p.m.–until—Lady Hawks Soccer vs Ferrum College 

Huntingdon Soccer Field—free admission 

12:30 p.m.—The Hawk Walk 

The alumni tailgating area will be a great spot to watch the Hawk Walk as the Huntingdon cheerleaders and the Marching Scarlet and Grey marching band parade down Fairview Avenue to the stadium.  You’ll get to see them up close as they stop beside the alumni tent to serenade you with the Huntingdon Fight Song.

Hawks football1:00 p.m.—Hawks Football vs. Ferrum College 

W. James Samford Jr. Stadium—The Hawks, new members of the USA South Athletic Conference, will host their first conference game.  Help the Hawks soar to victory and enjoy the halftime crowning of the 2013 Homecoming Queen.  Former Homecoming Queens are invited to participate in the halftime ceremony.  Tickets are $10 for an individual or $20 for a family; available at the gate or in advance using the Homecoming Reservation Form.  Returning Queens, please contact the Alumni Office at (334) 833-4528 for halftime instructions. 

Hawks Soccer2:30 p.m.—Hawks Soccer vs Ferrum College

 3:30–4:30 p.m.—Fraternity and Sorority Chapter Room Open Houses 

Alpha Omicron Pi, Chi Omega, and Phi Mu will host open houses for their alumni on the fourth floor of Pratt Hall.  Sigma Nu and Sigma Phi Epsilon will hold open houses for their alumni at their newly-established chapter houses on College Court. 

 8:00 p.m.–until—Huntingdon Homecoming Hangout 

The Alley Bar, Downtown Montgomery—downtown Montgomery has become a hub for great restaurants and entertainment spots.  Encourage your group of friends to meet for dinner at one of downtown's trendy spots—Saza's Serious Italian, Wyntzell's Oyster House, Railyard Brewing Company, Irish Bred Pub, Central, Dreamland BBQ, Lek's Railroad Thai, or Jalapeno's in the Alley.  The Alley Bar will be the designated spot for Huntingdon alumni to gather later in the evening for live music and watching primetime college football games.  The Alley Bar is subject to a cover charge.

3:00 p.m.—Homecoming/Family Weekend Choral Concert 

Concert 2011Ligon Chapel—the Huntingdon College Concert Choir will perform a special concert for alumni, parents, and the Montgomery community.  Free and open to the public
