Frazier’s Career Night Leads Hawks to 72-63 Victory over Atlanta Christian

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Senior Leon Frazier scored a career-best 30 points to help the Huntingdon men’s basketball team pick up its first victory of the season with a 72-63 win over Atlanta Christian Tuesday evening at Roland Arena.

Frazier became the first Hawks player to score 30 or more points in a contest since Jeremy Pittman scored 34 points against Emory on December 1, 2007.

In addition to the game-high points total, Frazier also added nine rebounds and two steals in the win.

Fellow senior Reggie Sprouse also scored in double figures with 14 points, while grabbing eight rebounds and dishing out four assists. Included in the eight rebounds were a team-high four on the offensive glass.

Junior James Daniels also enjoyed a career night, scoring 10 points on 5-of-7 shooting from the floor. Daniels, who entered the contest with 18 points in his career, added two rebounds in a career-best 21 minutes.

Atlanta Christian (2-3) was paced by Keldrick Appling, who scored 16 points.

Huntingdon will return to action on Friday, November 20, when it hosts Division II West Alabama at 7 p.m.
