The Huntingdon First Marching Band
Huntingdon College will be offering a one-half tuition Scarlet and Grey Marching Band Grant worth $9,660 to freshman and transfer students enrolling in Fall 2008 who participate in The Huntingdon First Marching Band.
Now in its second year, The Huntingdon First is the only NCAA Division Three marching band in the Southeastern United States. It is led by the award-winning former director of the Stanhope Elmore High School Band, Harold Blankenship. Our band performs at home games and travels with the football team to select away games.
There are no auditions (that includes majorettes and colorguard). Rehearsals are Monday through Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Games are played on Saturdays. Home games are played at 1:00 p.m.
