Pugh and Huntingdon Men’s Hoops Add 10 Newcomers for 2009-10 Season
MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Huntingdon men’s basketball program and third-year head coach Mike Pugh has announced the addition of 10 newcomers who have completed their intent to enroll paperwork and have committed to play basketball for the Hawks next season.
Dakota Adams (G, 6-2, 160, Geneva, Ala./Geneva HS), Joel Aman (G, 5-8, 150, Montgomery, Ala./Taylor Road Academy), Seth Bangert (G, 5-9, 150, Owens Cross Roads, Ala./Randolph School), Christian Colby (G, 6-3, 175, Midland City, Ala./Northside Methodist Academy), LeDerris Gibbs (G, 5-10, 150, Cuba, Ala./Sumter County HS), Ephraim Hudson (G, 6-0, 160, Montgomery, Ala./Wallace-Selma CC), Kent Jones (G, 6-2, 170, York, Ala./Wallace-Selma CC), Caleb Josephs (G, 6-3, 170, Fairhope, Ala./Bayside Academy), Jode Livingston (F, 6-6, 200, Lowndesboro, Ala./Eastwood Christian School) and Joey Reid (G, 5-9, 150, Pike Road, Ala./Taylor Road Academy) have been accepted to Huntingdon and will wear scarlet and grey for the Hawks during the 2009-10 season.
“I am very excited about the way that this recruiting class is taking shape,” Pugh said. “As we continue to improve our program, we keep looking for not only good basketball players, but good young men as well. These 10 guys are the caliber student-athletes that we want to represent our team and Huntingdon College.”
Huntingdon finished last season with a 13-13 overall record, including a 4-2 mark in Great South Athletic Conference play. The Hawks also advanced to their first GSAC Tournament Championship game since the 2005-06 season.
