Huntingdon Men's Soccer Adds Local Standout Dallas Thomas for 2008 Season
MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Huntingdon men’s soccer head coach Kevin Ray has announced that Dallas Thomas has completed his intent to enroll paperwork and has committed to play soccer for the Hawks this upcoming season.
Thomas, a prep standout at Alabama Christian Academy in Montgomery, joins Morgan Burke, Louis Hines, Joseph Jean, Will Young, Austin McNabb, Rusty Cowley, Jacob Bailey, Patrick Huntley, Darrin Myers, Robert Paul and Brian Flatt as newcomers to the 2008 squad.
A five-year player at ACA, Thomas played center midfielder for the Eagles. As a junior, Thomas played for the South squad in the Alabama North/South All-Star Game.
In addition to his prep career, Thomas has also spent the last eight seasons playing for the Capital City Streaks Soccer Club, where he was a member of the 2005 and 2006 State Cup Champions and played for former Major League Soccer player Michael Ritch.
The Hawks finished the 2007 season 7-11-1 overall, tying Huntingdon’s record for wins in a season as a Division III institution.
