MONTGOMERY, Ala.—The Huntingdon men’s tennis team suffered
its first loss of the 2010 season on Friday, falling 6-3 to NAIA foe
Spring Hill at the Huntingdon Tennis Courts.
With the loss, the Hawks fall to 2-1 on the season, while the Badgers improved to 1-2 on the year.
Senior Kent Hagan and junior B.J. Foroughian earned the first point
of the match for Huntingdon, defeating Burke DeFraites and Chris Link
at the No. 1 doubles spot. However, following the doubles portion of
the match, the Hawks trailed 2-1.
In singles play, Huntingdon earned victories at the top two
positions. Hagan rallied to defeat Mike Logan 6-4, 1-6, 6-1 at the No.
1 position, while Foroughian rolled past Joshua Schultz at the No. 2
spot, 6-2, 6-1.
The Hawks will return to action on Friday, March 5, when they host Oglethorpe at 1 p.m.
