MONTGOMERY, Ala.—Huntingdon ninth-year women’s tennis coach Ximena Moore has announced the addition of five newcomers who have completed their intent to enroll paperwork and have committed to play tennis for the Lady Hawks during the upcoming season.
Taylor Bean (Hartselle, Ala./Hartselle HS), Hannah Creamer (Killen, Ala./Florence HS), Chelsea McKnight (Birmingham, Ala./Fultondale HS), Sandra Pattison (Shalimar, Fla./Choctawhatchee Senior HS) and Wytesha Underwood (Centreville, Ala./Bibb County HS) have been accepted to Huntingdon and will compete for the Lady Hawks beginning this fall.
“I am very happy to announce the additions of this group of young ladies to our program,” Moore said. “I look forward to our team having to set new athletic and academic goals for the upcoming season.”
The Lady Hawks posted a 16-5 record in the season, finishing 8-0 in the Great South Athletic Conference during the regular season and 10-2 against Atlantic South region opponents. Huntingdon has advanced to the GSAC Tournament Championship match in each of the past four seasons, winning in 2007 and 2008.
