Lady Hawks Sweep Pensacola Christian at Home, 3-0

MONTGOMERY, Ala. ---- The Huntingdon volleyball team (6-9) picked up a win in their home opener Thursday evening, (25-22, 25-14, 25-18) to Pensacola Christian at the Catherine Dixon Roland Arena.

Senior Clare Shannon led the team with 11 kills, while freshman Kelly Kahumoku posted 7 and junior Abby Carter added 6. Junior Alyssa Eason led the Lady Hawks with 17 assists, while sophomore Bianca Hulsey added 10.

Defensively, senior Christine Whiten recorded 7 digs in the contest. Junior Abby Carter recorded one solo block against the Lady Eagles.

Senior Krissie Jones, junior Alyssa Eason and sophomore Bianca Hulsey paced the team with three service aces each in the match.

Huntingdon will travel to LaGrange, Ga. to open up conference play in a tri-match on Saturday, Sept. 25th. The Lady Hawks will open the day with LaGrange and then take on Covenant.
