Lady Hawks Post Best Ever Team Round at the BSC Southern Shootout

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.  --- The Huntingdon women’s golf team finished with the best ever team total of the schools program, shooting a ninth place 333 on day one of the BSC Southern Shootout at Highland Park Golf Course.

The Lady Hawks carded a school-best round of 333, while Columbus State finished first with a 296 followed by host Birmingham-Southern posting a 297 total.

All five Lady Hawks set individual round lows for the season on the first day of the BSC Southern Shootout. Saem Hur led the Lady Hawks finishing tied for 11th with a first-round score of seven-over par 77. Ali Hamil finished tied for 13th with an eight-over par 78. Kaitlin Rozof posted an 84 finishing tied for 48th.

Rounding out the scoring for Huntingdon was Alex Foster and Meg McGuire finishing the first-round with a 94 and 98, respectively.

Birmingham-Southern’s Ellen Chun led all golfers with a four-under par, 66, on the opening round of action.

Huntingdon will return to action on Monday, Oct. 11, for the final round of the BSC Southern Shootout at Highland Park Golf Course in Birmingham, Ala.
