Hawks Pick Up 3-0 Victory on Senior Day |
MONTGOMERY, Ala. ---- In a physical battle on senior day, Adam Whittaker scored his first career goal in the 88th minute for the 3-0 win over Oakwood College. The Huntingdon College men’s soccer team kept pressure on the Ambassadors goal for the majority of the match. The Hawks posted 18 shots on goal, while limiting Oakwood to 4. Jordan Osborne recorded four saves in the 3-0 shutout win.
“The win is a great way to send our seniors out, especially the well deserved goal from Adam Whittaker in his final home game,” said head coach Kevin Ray. “Hopefully, we can build off this victory heading into the conference tournament.”
The Hawks travel to cross-town rival, Faulkner, on Monday, Nov. 1, for the final regular season contest. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m.
