MOBILE, Ala. --- The Huntingdon
College's men's tennis team picked up their second win on the season,
7-2, on the road against Spring Hill College.
Huntingdon (2-1) won each of its No. 2
and No. 3 doubles matches, 8-3, against the Badgers. Freshman Tyler
Creamer and sophomore Larry Pritchett defeated No. 2 Burke Defraites
and Jason Neue, while Huntingdon's No. 3 senior B.J. Foroughian and
freshman Dylan Carr beat Jake Lyons and Joshua Shultz. Spring Hill
picked up its first point in the No. 1 doubles match, when Chris Link
and Mike Logan defeated senior Zach Molin and junior Sean Jackson,
8-5.
In singles competition Huntingdon took
5-of-6 points to secure the, 7-2, win. No. 6 Carr defeated Spring
Hill's Johnny Negmyilay, 7-5, 6-1, while Foroughian won in three
sets, 4-6, 6-1, 6-3, at the 5th spot against Defraites.
Huntingdon's Pritchett picked up a win in the No. 4 position, 6-1,
6-1, over Lyons. Jackson dropped Huntingdon's only singles match,
6-2, 6-4, at the third spot against Neue.
Huntingdon's Creamer picked up a win
over No. 2 singles Logan, 7-6, 6-1, while Molin defeated Link, 6-1,
6-1, at the No. 1 singles position.
Huntingdon returns to action on
Saturday, Feb. 26, taking on Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Ga.
The match is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. Central.
