ORLANDO,
Fla. --- Huntingdon College's women's tennis team lost two matches on
Monday to Hope College, 7-1, followed by a, 6-3, loss to Calvin
College in Orlando, Fla.
The
Lady Hawks started the day with a, 7-1, loss to Hope College (2-2)
with Kristin McDaniel registering Huntingdon's lone match victory in
the No. 4 singles position. Katie Scott's No. 1 singles match ended
unfinished after she split sets with Hope's Katherine Garcia.
In
the second match, Calvin College (3-3) beat Huntingdon, 6-3, for the
final contest on Monday. Hannah Creamer and Kati Bryant picked up the
Lady Hawks' only doubles win at the No. 3 position. The Knights led
2-1 following doubles and secured the win over Huntingdon by taking
four of the six singles matches.
