ROCHESTER, N.Y.
--- Consistent rain and heavy winds knocked out the final round of
the Fred B. Kravetz Golf Invitational on Saturday at Oak Hill Country
Club. After a coaches meeting on Saturday morning, the decision was
made to cancel the final round of the tournament with the opening
round's results standing.
Due to the
cancellation of the final round, senior Chase Blaich claimed the
individual-low title after carding a four-over par, 76, in the only
round of competition. Blaich picked up his second tournament victory
of the season on Saturday.
The University of
Rochester (322) was awarded the overall title followed by McDaniel
College (327) in second place. Unfortunately, Huntingdon (330) was
unable to move up the leader board due to weather conditions
finishing third.
Huntingdon looks
to claim the first-ever Great South Athletic Conference crown on
Monday, Apr. 25, in the first round of the GSAC tournament hosted by
Piedmont College at the Orchards Golf Course. The Hawks will return
to the Orchard Golf Course after winning the Piedmont Spring
Invitational on Mar. 29.
