Telecommunication voice and data services are provided to all resident students. While most students opt to use their own cell phones, you should be aware that each residence hall bedroom has modular telephone jacks connected to the campus telephone network, and being part of this network allows you quick access to on-campus phone numbers as well as to local phone service and the voice mail system.
If you choose to use the college telephone network instead of or in addition to your own cell phone and you wish to add long-distance access to your phone, you must authorize long-distance calls to be charged to your student account prior to the activation of your long-distance PINs. These charges are reflected on the statement mailed home each month. Payments are due by the 15th of each month and considered late after the last business day of the month. Long-distance calling privileges are dependent upon responsible utilization of the phone system, which includes paying any amount due beyond basic service.
Whether you choose on-campus or off-campus phone service, you will be asked to register your phone number with the Tech Team in order to be included in the College’s emergency communication system.
