Why Huntingdon?

Why Huntingdon? The Huntingdon Tradition

Traditional Undergraduate Program

Huntingdon College is a community of faith, wisdom, and service preparing skilled leaders to serve a complex world. Founded in 1854, Huntingdon is a coeducational liberal arts college of the United Methodist Church. The College serves approximately 800 students in traditional day residential programs and in evening degree completion programs offered on campus and in other Alabama locations. Huntingdon provides an outstanding liberal arts education in an atmosphere that supports spiritual growth and inquiry.

We invite you to experience what we call The Huntingdon Tradition, which embodies our motto: "Enter to grow in wisdom. Go forth to apply wisdom in service."

  • Low Student-to-Faculty Ratio
At Huntingdon, you will be known. Small classes will give you one-on-one interaction with professors and fellow students.

During your first semester, First Year Experience advisors will mentor you. A personalized plan of study and your academic advisor will guide you through your four years. Special advising for career placement and pre-professional studies will insure your preparation for life after graduation.

Huntingdon students have explored six of the seven continents. Travel can be part of your junior or senior year, with most costs covered within regular tuition and fees.
  • Personal Laptop
All full-time Huntingdon students receive a laptop computer, theirs to keep upon graduation. You'll have ready access to research and communication all the time. Description of Laptop
