Residence Halls

Ligon Hall

Ligon Hall

As a freshman, you will live in either Ligon Hall (women) or Searcy Hall (men), each designed to facilitate community as students build life-long friendships and memories. Not only will you be part of a rich and diverse campus life, but you will also enjoy events, programs, and parties planned specifically for your first-year experience. In addition, Resident Assistants (described below) plan social, cultural, and educational events each month to meet the needs of residents.

Sophomores, juniors, and seniors may live in Blount Hall in rooms designed in the style of hotels (2 students), suites (4 or 6 students), or clusters (6 students). More independent living is facilitated by sharing a common room, bathroom(s), storage closet, and small kitchenette (refrigerator, microwave, sink, and cupboards) within each room. Resident Assistants focus programming and parties specifically for upperclassman residents.

Resident Assistants live on each floor and serve as the caretakers of the residence halls. RAs are selected carefully and trained to assist students with their adjustments to college life, to maintain and enforce College standards of good conduct, and to help students take advantage of every opportunity and program available at Huntingdon College. Each residence hall also has a full-time Residence Director who oversees the building and works as a member of the Student Life staff.

The Office of Residence Life is part of the Office of Student Life, located in The Hut. You may contact Res Life for information concerning building/room assignments, roommate assignments, or general information about living on campus. We are here for you!
