Justin McQueen 2017

Long, long ago in a galaxy far, far away … Ok, well, not so long ago, in a galaxy a state away (Fairview, Tennessee, to be exact), Ambassador Justin McQueen ’17 embarked on a journey to Huntingdon, leaving all friends, family, and droids behind in a quest for adventure. A Jedi knight of a soul, Justin is majoring in sport management and minoring in history. He can wield a tennis racket like it’s a lightsaber (which is why he’s on the men’s tennis team) and a pen like it’s the Millenium Falcon (which is why he’s on the Dean’s List of High Honors). His Yoda is Dr. Brad Hebing, visiting assistant professor of sport management, “because he has a lot of insight into sport management and has helped me a great deal.” If Justin could have dinner with anyone in the world, he’d choose George Lucas, “so we can talk about Star Wars the whole time.” Who needs food when you have Wookies? Justin says he chose Huntingdon because, “I love the small school atmosphere, the chance to play tennis, and how comfortable I feel here.” No Siths to impede his progress here, his favorite things to do in his Huntingdon universe are  to relax on The Green, cheer on fellow Hawks at athletic events, go for a run, or spend time with his girlfriend. His three words for Huntingdon? “Community, peaceful, beautiful.” Justin dreams of a career in the field of sport, and that doesn’t seem like it’s parsecs away, now that he’s within a few months of graduating. We aren’t worried. We know The Force will be with him.
