Meagan Clausell 2018

You can’t miss her. When the Marching Scarlet and Grey takes the field, Ambassador and Uriah, Alabama, native Meagan Clausell ’18 is front and center, in a glittering scarlet costume and sporting an equally glittering smile. She twirls, tosses, and catches a baton not far away from her twin sister, Ambassador and co-Hawkette Morgan Clausell ’18, and her cousin, Ryan Dean ’17, who plays in the band. Meagan says, “I chose Huntingdon because when I first stepped on this campus, I knew it was the place for me. The atmosphere was heartwarming and I couldn’t get enough of it. I immediately felt at home when I came to HC.” You don’t have to be watching the field to see that electric smile coming—Meagan sports it everywhere she is, showing friendliness and warmth to all she meets. A biochemistry major, her professional goal is completion of her doctorate in pharmacy, so that great personality will come in handy when serving her pharmacy clients. Along with her Hawkette role, Meagan is a member of Alpha Omicron Pi women’s fraternity, a Student Recruiter, and an Orientation Leader. She was also elected as a sophomore attendant to the 2015 Homecoming Court. Meagan says her favorite things about Huntingdon are the faculty and staff and the peacefulness, which she likes to take in by spending time on the Green on a beautiful day. Off-campus, she frequents Papa John’s (she says, “I absolutely LOVE pizza. I have an unhealthy obsession with it”), The Shoppes at Eastchase, and Frazer United Methodist Church. Her mentor is her majorette adviser, Amanda Glasscock. “She has the most caring spirit and just seeing her around campus brightens my day.”  Meagan’s dream dinner partner is Oprah Winfrey. “She is the richest woman on earth and I would ask her what it’s like to be that rich and try to get her to give me a car. LOL.” Meagan makes the most of every opportunity, so you might just see her driving around with new wheels shortly. In the meantime, she’ll be kicking up her heels in those white Hawkette boots.
