Freshman Forum
The Freshman Forum is a year-long program specifically for incoming freshmen. Freshman Forum’s main purposes are to enhance the leadership skills of its members and to promote a culture of campus involvement among all freshmen. Freshman Forum gives students the opportunity to experience leadership development through event planning, including peers in community-building, and learning how to make a positive and effective contribution in any involvement role. During the year, Forum members plan many community service opportunities for themselves and their peers. They are expected to develop new initiatives to engage additional freshmen in campus life. Members act as the freshman class representatives to the Student Government Association. Previous Freshman Forum events included community-wide Fall Festivals, service days at Common Ground Ministries, and a campus-wide Dodgeball Tournament.
Incoming freshmen interested in participating can apply for an executive committee position (President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer) or become a Member-at-Large at the beginning of the fall semester. Contact Sara Beth Terry (sbterry@huntingdon.edu) for more information.
