Campus Ministries

College is a time of growth and challenge for every student. Huntingdon is a journey not only of the intellect but also of the spirit. Campus Ministries provides a place of support as students face new ideas about the world around them and creates a safe space for them to question matters of faith. Through Huntingdon Campus Ministries, students find pathways to spiritual fulfillment.

Our mission, through the influence of Campus Ministries, is that every student will increase their faith, strengthen foundational beliefs, define and commit to their incredible calling in life, grow in their devotion to Christ, serve others gladly, expand their philanthropic horizons, become life-changing encouragers, and cultivate enduring friendships.

Weekly Meetings

Chapel

Every Wednesday morning at 11:45 a.m. in Ligon Chapel, the student body, staff, faculty and administration of Huntingdon College meet in order to worship and be encouraged by Sharing the Story (God’s and ours) and Re-living Moments of Faith. Our goal is to encounter Jesus Christ personally and corporately through engaging speakers, inspiring music and creative use of the arts.

“Emerge”

The “Emerge” Gathering is an exciting time to praise and worship Almighty God, learn from Holy Scripture, encourage one another, grow in faith, strengthen conviction, and build relationships. The “Emerge” Gathering meets on Thursday nights at 8:08 p.m. We enter into God’s Presence with a time of fellowship and music, then interact with an engaging speaker, where we learn in community how to serve Christ. It is an exciting time!

The goal for the “Emerge” Gathering is that participants will:

  • “Emerge” as leaders in their realm of influence;
  • “Emerge” as empowered to impact the culture;
  • “Emerge” as willing to meet the needs of others; and
  • “Emerge” as life-long seekers of Jesus Christ.

Come join us and EMERGE to make a difference!

Fellowship of Christian Athletes

The vision of FCA at Huntingdon is to impact the campus and ultimately the world for Jesus Christ through the influence of athletics. Jesus’ teachings are presented through prayer, modeling integrity and sportsmanship, service, teaching, and leadership development. Meetings clarify and commend the Christian life, and small group opportunities are available for life-on-life discipleship. Retreats, conferences, and mission opportunities are also available.
