Special Career Fair gives students a glimpse past graduation

Huntingdon College students interested in health care professions were treated to a special career fair, hosted by the Department of Chemistry, the Department of Sport Science and Physical Education, and the Center for Career and Vocation, Thursday, November 20. Graduate schools and programs representing physical therapy, occupational therapy, veterinary medicine, medical schools, osteopathic medicine, and related areas of study were present, as were nearly 100 Huntingdon students.

Public invited to enjoy Huntingdon College Christmas traditions

Huntingdon College plans two nights of public events to celebrate the joy of Christmas. First, the College’s annual Community Christmas Celebration will be held Thursday, December 4, on the Huntingdon campus. The evening will begin with festivities outside Flowers Hall, with refreshments provided. Following the lighting of the trees, the crowd will move inside Ligon Chapel for the beautiful and moving tradition, A Service of Lessons and Carols.

Huntingdon Community Pops presents holiday pops concert

Huntingdon College’s Huntingdon Community Pops ensemble will present their Holiday Pops Concert, Tuesday, November 18, at 7:00 p.m. in the College’s Ligon Chapel, Flowers Hall. There will be a special gift for each person who attends; admission is free. Music will include “A Christmas Festival,” by Leroy Anderson; Bizet’s “Farandole” from L’Arlesienne Suite No. 2 (March of the Knights); The Polar Express; and a medley from the Disney animated feature, Frozen.

Huntingdon offers Preview Day for prospective students

The Huntingdon College Office of Admission will offer a Huntingdon Preview Day, Saturday, November 8. Prospective students and families are invited to attend this free event. Reservations may be made online at www.huntingdon.edu/visit.

Pianist Jeremy Samolesky performs at Huntingdon College

Pianist Jeremy Samolesky will perform a recital of music by Bach, Chopin, and Prokofiev at Huntingdon College, Thursday, November 6, at 7:00 p.m. in Ligon Chapel, Flowers Hall. The event is free and open to the public.
