Huntingdon Jazz jazzes up Alabama

The Huntingdon College jazz band, Huntingdon Jazz, has left campus on tour to share their music and to pique the interest of prospective musicians. The group will perform at Luverne High School (8:00 a.m.) and Gulf Shores High School (1:00 p.m.) Thursday, March 19.

Huntingdon inducts 13 new educators in Kappa Delta Epsilon

Thirteen new educators were inducted into the education honor society Kappa Delta Epsilon Wednesday evening, March 18.

Stephanie Yasechko crowned Miss Huntingdon 2015

Huntingdon College junior Stephanie Marie Yasechko of Niles, Ohio, was crowned Miss Huntingdon 2015 at the conclusion of the annual pageant held March 14. She was a awarded a $600 scholarship with the title. Ten Huntingdon women competed in the pageant.

Huntingdon hosts Alabama Special Olympics

The Huntingdon College Department of Sport Science and Physical Education hosted four teams competing as part of the Alabama Special Olympics championship basketball tournament Friday, March 13. Games began at 9:00 a.m. and continued until 1:00 p.m. in Catherine Dixon Roland Arena.

Students show work in city-wide art exhibit

Artwork produced by four Huntingdon College students is included in the Emerging Collegiate Artists Exhibition on display through May 28 at Montgomery City Hall, 103 North Perry Street in Montgomery. The show, which opened March 12, is a juried exhibition of area collegiate artwork.

Huntingdon Winds presents “March Madness” concert

The Department of Music and Art at Huntingdon College will present a different type of “March Madness” when the Huntingdon Winds Concert Band performs an evening of “march” music, Thursday, March 12, 7:00 p.m. in the Leo J. Drum Jr. Theatre on the College’s Cloverdale Campus.

Huntingdon Music program presents faculty recital

Huntingdon College will present a faculty recital by trombonist Rusty Logan and euphonium player Marie Robertson, Thursday, March 5, at 7:00 p.m. in the College’s Smith Music Building, Delchamps Recital Hall.

Huntingdon offers Preview Day for prospective students

The Huntingdon College Office of Admission will offer a Huntingdon Preview Day, Saturday, March 7. Prospective students and families are invited to attend this free event. Huntingdon Preview Days begin with registration at 8:00 a.m. in the College’s historic main building, Flowers Hall.
