Huntingdon Choirs

Huntingdon choral programs date back almost to the founding of the College, as music has always been an integral part of the Huntingdon experience. The choirs at Huntingdon perform for special events, convocations, and other public concerts, as well as for conventions such the Alabama Music Educators Association Conference. Huntingdon choirs have toured  the Southeastern United States.

Huntingdon College Concert Choir is the College’s premier choral ensemble, open to all who love to sing, no matter what your major. The choir performs a variety of repertoire and offers a quality choral experience to all who join. Choral students often have additional opportunities to sing pop acapella and chamber works in smaller ensemble settings formed from those who are members of the Concert Choir. Our choirs often partner with local arts organizations in the community to perform choral masterworks with orchestra. For students who want to sing even more often, a student-led Glee Club is also available.

Students who audition and who are not involved in intercollegiate athletics or who are not receiving a participation grant for Presidential Scholars, Kingswood Scholars, cheer, dance, band, or Esports may qualify to receive a $14,000Scarlet & Grey Choir Scholarship or a generous Judy Marley Montgomery Choral Scholarship. Choir uniforms and travel opportunities are provided at no cost to the student. Successful completion of singing with the Concert Choir for three semesters satisfies your core Fine Arts requirement.
Our beautiful campus, with its friendly people, historic buildings, and great acoustics provides the perfect singing environment.
Come sing with us!
