Asbury provides scholarship for Huntingdon students

Montgomery, Ala.—Huntingdon College seniors who are seeking admission to seminary have one more avenue for seminary completion, thanks to a new Scholarship of Distinction from Asbury Theological Seminary. The award, worth a minimum of $5,000, will be given to qualifying Huntingdon graduates who enroll at Asbury within a year of graduating from Huntingdon and maintain a 3.0 grade point average as full-time, continuously enrolled students. The scholarship can be combined with the seminary’s Advanced Standing program, which allows undergraduate college credit to be applied toward the student’s graduate degree.

Huntingdon College, grounded in the Judeo-Christian tradition of the United Methodist Church, is committed to nurturing growth in faith, wisdom, and service and to graduating individuals prepared to succeed in a rapidly changing world. Founded in 1854, Huntingdon is a coeducational liberal arts college. In 2014 The Chronicle of Higher Education recognized Huntingdon among “The Fastest Growing Colleges in America,” and Huntingdon has been named among the top regional colleges by U.S. News and World Report and by the Princeton Review.
