Biography

Professor Hilgartner’s creative work has appeared in a number of literary journals, and he has twice been awarded the Fellowship in Literature from the Alabama State Council on the Arts. Before coming to Huntingdon in 2006, Professor Hilgartner taught college English and creative writing elsewhere in Alabama. He has also taught English to speakers of other languages in the United States and in Europe, and French in Vermont.
