Hunter Warr Crowned as Mr. Huntingdon during Homecoming 2022

Montgomery, Ala.—The Huntingdon College student body elected Hunter Warr, Class of 2023, as Mr. Huntingdon for the 2022–2023 academic year. He was crowned during Homecoming festivities Saturday, October 29.

Hunter Warr, of Marbury, Alabama, is the son of Ann and Danny Warr. A cell biology/pre-health major, he has interned with an emergency department as a medical scribe in three different semesters during his time at Huntingdon. He has been listed on the Dean’s List of High Honors and recognized with the CRC Chemistry Award, the Jane Williams Award, and with membership in Phi Eta Sigma, Gamma Sigma Alpha, Alpha Beta, Omicron Delta Kappa, and Beta Beta Beta honor societies.

Mr. Warr, a Presidential Fellow on the Pre-Health Team, has served as vice president of the Student Government Association; vice president of the Junior Class; High Tau for Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity; vice president for finance for the Interfraternity Council; a Huntingdon Ambassador; a Student Recruiter; an Orientation Leader; a member of the Race and Justice Initiative; of the community service committee for the Freshman Leadership Initiative; and of the Psychology Club, the Pre-Health Club, Circle K, the Student Alumni Association, and the Collegiate Exchange Club. He will complete travel-study in Costa Rica as part of the Huntingdon Plan later this academic year.

In all, the Huntingdon student body elected 25 student representatives to the 2022 Homecoming Court, including six men in the senior class who were the candidates for the title of Mr. Huntingdon. Mr. Warr was escorted on the field by his mother and was crowned by 2021–2022 Mr. Huntingdon, Cam Nicely, Class of 2022.
