Huntingdon Residence Life is First to Complete Seizure First Aid Training in Alabama
Montgomery, AL – To begin the spring semester, the professional and student staff of Huntingdon College’s Residence Life completed the Epilepsy Foundation’s Seizure Recognition and First Aid Training certification. The certification marks Huntingdon College as the first higher education residence life staff to require and complete the education in Alabama. Huntingdon College was pleased to partner with Huntingdon alumnus, Jeremiah Stone ’16, the Executive Director of the Epilepsy Foundation, to offer the education.
The mission of the College’s Residence Life is to make Huntingdon a safe and comfortable home away from home by building a community that is conducive to learning and growing in faith, wisdom, and service. Vice President for Student Development and Dean of Students Dr. Kathleen Childree praised the team’s commitment to prioritizing health and safety training, “I am proud to work with a team who emphasizes the importance of making Huntingdon College a safe home for students every time they are on campus. Our staff’s dedication to educational opportunities like the Seizure Recognition and First Aid Training certifications reflects a focus on caring for our campus community through both preparation and response.”
