Huntingdon Students Inducted into Honor Societies

Montgomery, Ala.—Huntingdon College offers 14 honor societies into which students may earn membership on the basis of academic achievement, leadership, or other merits. Each of these honor societies announced inductions of new members during the spring term.

Alpha Beta

Alpha Beta is an honor society for upper-class students honoring excellence in scholarship and encouraging scholastic attainment. Spring 2019 inductees were:

Beta Beta Beta

Beta Beta Beta is a national biological honorary society, installed at Huntingdon College in 1946. The membership consists of third- and fourth-year students who have demonstrated active interest in biology and have taken at least three biology courses, earning an average grade of B or better. Phi Eta Sigma

Phi Eta Sigma is an honor society that recognizes high academic achievement in the first year of college study. Membership eligibility is extended to those who have achieved cumulative grade point averages of 3.5 or better by the end of the first year while enrolled full-time in traditional day courses. The students, who are inducted in their senior year, must also rank in the top 20 percent of their class. The spring 2019 inductees were:

Sigma Beta Delta is an honor society for business, management, and administration, serving higher education institutions that offer undergraduate and graduate degrees in business, management, and administration.To be eligible for membership, a student must rank in the upper 20 percent of the junior or senior class and be invited to membership by faculty members. Huntingdon’s chapter was founded in 1994. Spring 2019 inductees were:
