President West Announces Security Changes

Dear Friends,

I am pleased to announce the following changes effective June 1, 2022, in Huntingdon’s Campus Operations and Facilities, Security Office.

Mr. Darius Dixon ’15, assumes the role of Chief of Campus Security.  He served with the Montgomery Police Department before joining the Huntingdon Security Office in February, 2019.

Mr. Mike Ward ’76, assumes the role of Director of Campus Safety.  He has played an integral part in the life of Huntingdon College since 1997, when he returned to his alma mater from the Montgomery Police Department.  Mr. Ward has watched over our campus for many years and holds a place dear in the hearts of our students, faculty, staff, alumni, and trustees.  Along with his wife, Phyllis K. Ward ’74 , he has led many Huntingdon Travel-Study trips.

Please congratulate Darius Dixon and Mike Ward as they serve in their new roles.  Huntingdon is a much more secure place with their serving and protecting the Home We Love So Well.
