Three big Huntingdon events converge

Montgomery, Ala.—The Huntingdon College campus will be ablaze with scarlet and grey as three big events converge next weekend. Huntingdon will celebrate Homecoming October 6–7, along with Family Weekend and Preview Day, both on October 7.

Notable events during Homecoming include:

  • Alumni and Hall of Fame Awards Ceremony, Saturday, October 7, 10:00 a.m. in Leo J. Drum Jr. Theater on the College’s Cloverdale Campus
  • Homecoming football game versus Averett University, with kick-off at 1:00 p.m. Saturday
  • Court presentation and crowning of the queen at halftime of the game

Family Weekend brings family members to campus to reunite with their students as the College approaches the mid-semester mark. Families may enjoy the Homecoming football game, as well as time with their students.

Preview Day, hosted by the Office of Admission, provides time for prospective students and their families to visit campus. Participants may tour campus and speak with current students, coaches, and faculty. The event begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends before lunch, with game tickets provided for those who’d like to stay and enjoy the Homecoming football game.

Online registration is available for each event from the links provided above.

Other visitors may purchase game tickets at the stadium entrance. Admission is free for Huntingdon students, faculty, and staff, and for visitors ages 5 and under; $5 for visitors ages 6–12. Gates will be open two hours prior to kick-off. Concessions are available.

Grounded in the Judeo-Christian tradition of the United Methodist Church, Huntingdon is committed to nurturing growth in faith, wisdom, and service and to graduating individuals prepared to succeed in a rapidly changing world. The College motto is “Enter to grow in wisdom; go forth to apply wisdom in service.”
