Hawks Have a Ball

Montgomery, Ala. –Huntingdon students crowded the top floor of the Montgomery Country Club for the annual Countess of Huntingdon Ball on Thursday evening, November 2.  The enchanted forest themed event, sponsored by the Campus Activities Board, featured live music, great food, and a festive atmosphere as students donned semi-formal attire.

Clusters of floor-to-ceiling bamboo limbs draped with white lights and back-lit with blue lights created an elegant entrance to the main ballroom.  The seven-piece band, Norris, kept students on the dance floor showcasing their line dance skills and freestyle moves. Students grazed on a buffet of mini beef wellingtons, chicken fingers, buffalo wings, bruschetta, and roast beef sliders.

The iconic staircase at the Montgomery Country Club, the enchanted forest back drop, and the crowded dance floor were all prime spots for students to capture the night with their phone cameras.

Special thanks to the Campus Activities Board for their hard work in planning and executing a successful event for the student body.
