Huntingdon Prepares for Commencement; Dr. Diana Abernethy to Address Graduates

Montgomery, Ala.—Huntingdon College will host commencement exercises for the class of 2024 on Saturday, May 4, at 6:00 p.m. on the Huntingdon College Green.

Huntingdon President J. Cameron West has invited The Rev. Dr. Diana Abernethy, an Assistant Professor of Religion at Huntingdon, to deliver the commencement address.  Dr. Abernethy joined the Huntingdon College faculty in 2018.  She was ordained as an Elder in the North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church in 2017.  Dr. Abernethy holds three degrees from Duke University – a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, a master’s degree in divinity, and a doctorate of philosophy in religion.
