Biography

Dr. Lane Davis returned to his undergraduate alma mater to serve in the Department of Religion faculty in 2021. He teaches courses in Church history and Biblical interpretation and also serves as an instructor in Huntingdon’s CALL vocational discernment program. His research focuses on Methodist history (particularly in the twentieth century), issues of doctrine and pluralism, and the life and thought of Albert C. Outler. Prior to his doctoral work, Lane served as a pastor at United Methodist congregations in Brentwood, Tennessee, Dunwoody, Georgia, and Dothan, Alabama.
