Class of 2026 Teacher Education Graduates Begin the Fall in Classrooms

Montgomery, AL – Beginning this month, the 14 Spring 2026 Huntingdon graduates from the Teacher Education program are beginning new careers in the classroom. These students completed a pre-professional program to prepare them to teach and guide the next generation. With each graduate having more than 700 hours of field and clinical experience, these new alumni are highly qualified and prepared to step into their very own classrooms. We celebrate their next steps and are proud to see several graduates return to their home communities to make a lasting impact.

“It is no secret that Alabama and surrounding states are experiencing a chronic teacher shortage,” stated Huntingdon President Anthony Leigh. “I am grateful to these newest members of our alumni community for answering the special call to be educators, and I commend our faculty in the teacher education program for their exemplary work in preparing these students to go forth apply wisdom in service in this meaningful way.” 

Below is the list of the teacher education Spring 2026 alumni and their Fall 2026 schools:

Elementary Education / Collaborative Special Education Graduates:

• Cami Brown has returned to her hometown of Chipley, Florida and is employed with Roulhac Middle School teaching special education and as the assistant basketball coach for Chipley High School.
• Brody Covington of Rogersville, Alabama, is employed with McBride Elementary School in Muscle Shoals, Alabama teaching fifth grade.
• Mekiah Moseley has returned to her hometown of Munford, Alabama to teach at Munford Elementary School teaching third grade.
• Mattie Moulton of Wetumpka, Alabama, will be teaching at Pike Road Elementary School in Pike Road, Alabama teaching second grade.
• Hannah Rogers Harden of Southside, Alabama is employed at Carrollton Elementary School in Carrollton, Georgia teaching second grade.
• Olivia Webb Singleton from Dothan, Alabama is employed as a special education teacher at Pintlala Elementary School in Pintlala, Alabama.

Physical Education with P-12 Teacher Education Graduates:

• Connor Cash of Mentone, Alabama has returned close to home and is employed at Valley Head High School as PE Coach and football coach.
• Timothy McReynolds of Geneva, Alabama, is employed at Fairhope High School as a PE coach and football outside linebackers’ coach.

History with General Social Science Secondary Teacher Education Graduates:

• Alexakai Cardoza Braswell of Phenix City, Alabama is employed at Yulee Middle School in Yulee, Florida teaching seventh grade U.S. History.
• Myles Johnson of Florence, Alabama is employed at B.B. Comer High School in Sylacauga, Alabama teaching history and as the head coach of the boys’ basketball team.
• Hunter Royer is returning home to Decatur, Alabama and is employed with Austin Middle School teaching sixth grade social studies.
• Myles Murphy of Mobile, Alabama is employed at Spain Park High School in Hoover, Alabama teaching ninth grade social studies and as the assistant coach for the boys’ basketball team.

Mathematics with Secondary Teacher Education Graduates

• Zander Bonifay is returning home to Foley, Alabama and is employed at Foley High School as a math teacher and football coach.
• Ryan McFarling of Southside, Alabama is employed by Morgan County High School in Madison, Georgia as a math teacher and pitching coach.
