Homecoming and Family Weekend Registration Opens to Celebrate Huntingdon
Montgomery, AL – The registration and ticket purchase links for alumni and families planning to attend the Huntingdon Homecoming and Family Weekend October 3-5, 2025, is now live. In addition to the annual festivities, the 2025 gathering to “Celebrate Huntingdon” will also include the investiture events for President Anthony Leigh, who took office in July 2024.
The Homecoming and Family Weekend events will begin on Friday with the Golden Hawks Luncheon for all Hawks who have celebrated or are celebrating their 50th class reunion. This year, the Golden Hawks welcome the Class of 1975 to their ranks. The class of 1970 and 1965 will also be celebrating banner reunion years.
In the afternoon, President Leigh will share a State of the College Address, hosted by the Huntingdon Alumni Board, in Ligon Chapel. After the address, guests are encouraged to stay for the annual Alumni Convocation and Recognition Ceremony. The events in the Chapel are free and open to the public.
A new event to the weekend schedule is taking place Friday evening, October 3. The Huntingdon Homecoming Family Dinner will be a come and go casual buffet dinner in the Julia Russell Dining Hall from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. The event is open to alumni, students, families, and friends of Huntingdon. In addition to the buffet dinner, Rhett Butler ’13 and Friends will be playing live music on The Green until 7:30.
Saturday morning, Huntingdon Athletics will induct the 2025 class to the Athletic Hall of Fame in Roland Arena on the main campus. This event is free and open to the public.
From 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., the Alumni and Friends Pre-Game Party will be hosted at the Montgomery Country Club with tailgate themed heavy hors d’oeuvres and cash bar.
Hawks Football takes the field at 1:00 p.m. against Methodist University. Alumni are welcome to enjoy the game from the alumni tent in the south end zone. At half-time, President Leigh will welcome the 2025 Homecoming Court and past May and Homecoming Queens to the field for the crowning of the 2025 Homecoming Queen and Mr. Huntingdon.
After the game, alumni are invited to the second annual Gathering on The Green for social time in the heart of campus.
