Births
- Michael Dallas, Jr. ’17 and his wife, Maria, welcomed a son, Michael Dewayne Dallas, III, in January 2026.
- Paxton Tharp Adkison ’19 and her husband, Wyatt Adkison ’19, welcomed a daughter, Edie Jude Adkison, in January 2026.
- Dr. Brooks Freeman ’20 and his wife, Sarah, welcomed a son, Banks Robert Freeman, in January 2025.
- Carden Mellown ’20 and his wife, Haley Reynolds Mellown ’22, welcomed a son, Beaumont Lucas Mellown, in January 2026.
Graduate School Graduations
- Dr. Jamesia Trammell ’91 completed her doctorate in strategic leadership from Liberty University.

- Jacqueline Trimble ’83 was installed by Governor Kay Ivey as the Poet Laureate of Alabama for the next 4 years.
- Sarah Manikas Rech ’93 was promoted to Dean of Students for the LCC Day School in St. Petersburg, FL. She also published a children’s book, It’s Okay to Worry.
- Granger Shook ’09 was named Coach of the Year by the River Region Quarterback Club.
- Lauren Lambert Kirk ’15 was awarded the Selma City School District Teacher of the Year and the Elementary Teacher of the Year. She is the first Special Education Teacher to be given the district honor.
- Jordan Smith ’17 has been named the head football coach at Holt High School in Tuscaloosa County.
- Carson Daniel ’24 has accepted a new position as the quarterbacks coach at Pike Road Schools.
- Miller Park ’24 has joined The Alice Maxwell Team – Keller Williams Realty Tuscaloosa as a Realtor.

- Rochelle Prescott Anderson ’62 passed away on January 10, 2026, in Birmingham, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Marlin Houston Anderson, Jr. ’65.
- Doris Tucker Jackson ’62 passed away on January 22, 2026, in Louisville, Kentucky.
- Joy Gingles Wicks ’63 passed away on October 4, 2025, in Arlington, Virginia.
